Agnieszka Bojanowska, PhD
I provide psychotherapy to adults experiencing mental crises, struggling with psychological problems (depression, anxiety, low satisfaction with life, lack of sense of purpose), experiencing problems in relationships and daily functioning. I have experience working with adults from families burdened with alcohol problems, as well as with people in crisis after taking psychedelic substances, i.e. with the experience of the so-called bad trip.
In my work I use a variety of techniques: from well-established cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR or schema therapy methods, to more innovative approaches such as Brainspotting or body work. I work in Polish and English.
Having moved to Amsterdam recently, I understand the challenges of living in another country and the expat life. This experience can be challenging and the stresses can bring out old issues. I am happy to help my clients figure out new ways of coping, in a new place and new life.
I have been working academically at one of the leading psychology departments in Poland, for more than 15 years. I have a PhD in the psychology of happiness and well-being. I use my knowledge in my therapeutic work - I focus not only on the problems reported by patients, but also try to bring out their resources, values and aspirations.
